Name the Food Bloggers’ Conference

The conference is set for Sunday 21 March 2010 with a one week exhibition of blogger food photography.

While we are currently nutting out the details (give us a week or so) on the presenters and how you can participate we are looking for a cool name.

The UK version was called Food Bloggers Connect.

My crude suggestion was EAT MUFF (Melbourne Underground Food Festival. But apart from being rude it MUFF has already been appropriated for film.

I was thinking something incorporating the word “Fringe”.

Ideas?

I’m suggesting the originator of the winning name should be guaranteed a place at the conference which has only 45 spots including presenters.

  2. How about Eat Drink Blog?

Then if we ever have events in other cities it could be ‘Eat Drink Blog – Sydney’ or ‘Eat Drink Blog – Brisbane’ etc.

    Name? Hmmm. How about:

    – Gourmetypefest
    – Edible Text 2010
    – Eat Your Own Words
    – Eating Our Words
    – Blog, Glorious Blog

  4. how about “BLOGin” Fringe Food Festival :-). well done in organising. 45 spots including presenters sounds like a pretty small event considering Grab Your Fork and Chocolatesuze managed to get 50 food bloggers to their casual inaugural christmas event last dec.

Well we wanted to keep it simple without people having to pay to come. This way it hopefully will be a big success and next year it can double in size.

The problem is we don’t have bank accounts etc and somebody would have to take liability for hiring a venue if it was any bigger and there would be tax implications.

In Melbourne we’ve only hit about 20 max. And aspeople would need to travel interstate…

Foz Fringe (if you have to have a fringe!)

    What about

    Eating on the fringe

which could turn into Eating on the (Melbourne) Fringe or Eating on the (Sydney) Fringe etc?

    Otherwise, another suggestions might be:

    Sribbles on a plate
Foodisphere 2010 (trying to combined food and blogisphere)

    hey…this is fun! lol.
